invented in 1907<\/strong>. <strong><em><sup>1<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><\/h4><h4 style=\"text-align: left;\"><br \/>Plastic production increased exponentially, <strong>from 2.3 million tons in 1950 to 448 million tons by 2015.<\/strong> <strong><em><sup>2<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><\/h4><h4 style=\"text-align: left;\"><br \/>Plastic production is <strong>expected to double by 2050.<\/strong> <strong><em><sup>3<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-86b5bdf Scientists still aren&#8217;t quite sure about the amount of microplastics a body can tolerate or how much damage they do.\u00a0<strong><em><sup>17\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><\/h4><h4><br
