Clean Up for the Future – 6400 meters of coastline in a day

More than a 100 volunteers joined the Clean Up for the Future initiative, going out to clean the nearest beach, forest or river.

A day to remember. In an effort to keep organizing cleanups during this estrange covid situation, we decided it was time for each of us to act on our own. And so it was, this Saturday 111 people joined the Clean Up for the Future initiative, going out to clean the nearest beach, forest or river.

We covered around 6400 meters of coastline, 21 locations, 92 garbage bags of all sizes and a lot of good vibes and positivism!

The images speak for themselves. We covered around 6400 meters of coastline, 21 locations, 92 garbage bags of all sizes and a lot of good vibes and positivism!

We estimate that during the day between 400 and 600 kg of waste were removed, but what is even better, the action of these 100 volunteers has reached thousands and thousands of people. Among the most unusual waste were shotgun cartridges, tires, a container, a suitcase, underpants, a cologne … And for the rest, many fishing nets, boxes and pieces of polystyrene, more than 2000 cigarette butts, cotton buds and others waste that has become frequent on our beaches.
